A CRIMINALIZAÇÃO DE TRAVESTIS NO BRASIL

The purpose of this article is to contribute to the reflection of the criminalization of travestites in Brazil. The aim is to show how transvestite enters the “radar” of law via criminalization; and that the control of the travestite gender experiences via criminal law was crucial to construct this experiences in stigmatization and repression that materialize in the murders and incarceration of this population.
