DIREITO.UNB , v. 9, n. 1, p. 513-542, 2025, 30 página(s)
The article highlights the relevance of knowledge about the concepts of food security and sovereignty, as one of the Sustainable Development Goals elected by the Agenda of 2030. It is important to note that data shows that the country had left the United Nations (UN) Hunger Map in 2014, however, rejoined the control from 2015, with increasing worsening. In this context, the analysis asks to what extent the goals of food sovereignty and security and public policies for family farming are interrelated. As a hypothetical solution, it seeks to assess the potential of public policies aimed at family farming to achieve the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda, especially with regard to the eradication of poverty. As an academic contribution, the article presents the main public policies aimed at family farming, specific setbacks and latent expansion points, such as the participation of the target audience in the construction of the public agenda and greater incursion of the Municipality, as a complement to government policies implemented by other public entities. The dialectic approach method is used, with bibliographical research and descriptive theoretical content, with an examination of the interpretations of possible relations and potentialities.
