The research aims to know the representation of gender in Law teaching at the Stricto Sensu Post-Graduate level (M.Phill and J.S.D). It starts from the hypothesis of the absence of gender equality in this organization, especially in the hierarchical ascension and occupation of leadership positions. It is experimental quantitative research. The research statistically analyzed 39 Brazilian Programs with ME and DO, from the information available on the websites of each of the Programs, to characterize the gender of the occupants of coordination positions and the gender of the permanent faculty members. The research considered the five Regions with Brazil, participating Programs from a random and non-probabilistic choice of five federal states, each representing a Region of the country. The sample size compared to the 90% confidence level results in a 10.62% margin of error for the study. The study results show women's under representativeness in Stricto Sensu Law education and leadership positions, revealing gender bias and vertical segregation in this career. By data crossing, in all regions and public and private institutions, women under representativeness remained below 40%. The results corroborate the research hypothesis. The results indicate the need for specific and multisectoral policies that guarantee equity and greater women's representativeness, including the participation on science's interpretative and political schemes.
