THE ROLE OF LATAH ANALYSIS IN E-COMMERCE GAMIFICATION INNOVATION AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE ENHANCEMENT

E-commerce has become an integral part of daily life in Indonesia. Technological advancements have accelerated its growth. Globalization has also expanded its adoption across different consumer groups. As a result, online shopping platforms now play a significant role in consumer activities and business transactions. This study focuses on increasing customer engagement through e-commerce gamification mechanisms. The research examines how gamification can encourage active customer participation. It also investigates the role of cultural factors in strengthening customer interaction within digital commerce environments. The primary objective of this research is to explore the effective implementation of gamification using a cultural approach in e-commerce. The study emphasizes customer experience and latent analysis. It seeks to identify hidden factors that influence customer behavior and engagement within gamified e-commerce platforms. This research adopts a qualitative approach. The method aims to examine the application of gamification in e-commerce from a latent perspective. It also evaluates how gamification influences customer experience and shapes user responses during online interactions. The findings reveal that gamification innovation has a substantial effect on customer engagement. The integration of cultural elements further strengthens this impact. Features such as point systems, rewards, and culturally relevant values create a familiar environment for local consumers. These elements improve user interaction and encourage continued participation on e-commerce platforms. The results also show that combining cultural aspects with gamification significantly increases customer involvement and satisfaction. Higher engagement contributes to stronger customer retention. It also enhances customer loyalty toward the e-commerce platform. Therefore, cultural adaptation plays an important role in maximizing the effectiveness of gamification strategies. This study suggests that e-commerce companies can utilize latent phenomena to develop emerging trends and stimulate customer engagement. The integration of gamification and cultural elements offers a strategic advantage. This advantage is particularly relevant in Indonesia, where cultural values strongly influence consumer behavior. Consequently, culturally adapted gamification can support sustainable business growth and improve competitive performance.

THE PARADOX OF TRUST IN TIKTOK LIVE SHOPPING: AN EXPLORATION FROM TAM-TPB PERSPECTIVES ON YOUNG INDONESIAN CONSUMERS' BEHAVIOR

This study integrates the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to investigate factors influencing young Indonesian customers' purchasing interest in TikTok Shop live streaming. Survey data from 346 respondents aged 18–36 were analysed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Findings reveal that attitude significantly mediates the effect of trust on purchase intention, outperforming technology factors, with perceived usefulness emerging as the weakest predictor, signalling a shift towards hedonistic shoppertainment. Notably, perceived ease of use and trust exert considerably stronger direct influences on attitude, yet their ultimate impact on purchase intention is channelled largely through a positive attitude. The model demonstrates strong predictive relevance, confirming that emotional engagement and a sense of security drive behaviour more than functional utility. Gender does not moderate the trust-attitude relationship, indicating a universal psychological mechanism across young Indonesian consumers. This study identifies a utility paradox in Indonesian social commerce, extending TAM-TPB integration with empirical evidence from live streaming commerce.
